Ritika Handoo of Zeenews.com is all set to watch first-day first show to review the big-budget film for you. The cast of the film is headlined by Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan, who will be seen sharing screen space for the first time.

"In all the languages, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, Thugs of Hindostan will earn Rs 50 crore on the day of its release".

Filmed in India, Thailand and off the coast of Malta, it brings together for the first time Amitabh and Aamir, two of Bollywood's most bankable stars, in battles against the British East India Company in 1795, and with stunts and pyrotechnics galore.

As things stand today, a start of Rs. 40 crore is guaranteed for the film, though Rs. 45 crore is desirable. Finally Yash Raj Film's Thugs of Hindostan has crushed the records of Tiger Zinda Hai in the term of screen count.

Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year is another Diwali release that ranks 17 on the list of highest grossing Indian films, which managed a strong opening with collections to the tune of Rs 36.31 crore.

Thugs of Hindostan box office collection Day 1 live updates: Multi-starrer, much-awaited film the Thugs of Hindostan is released and expected to be a big blockbuster.

The film's pre-sales on day one is better than Salman Khan-starrer Tiger Zinda Hai, Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju and Hollywood offering Avengers - Infinity War. Thugs of Hindostan is unarguably the biggest release of 2018 and hence expectations are mammoth. Delhi's prominent theatre Delite sold 5,000 tickets in a few hours.

Now it has to be seen where does Thugs of Hindostan sway.

His previous films including Dangal, Dhoom 3 and Secret Superstar have broken box office records and amassed millions across India and beyond, including in China. However, on the second day of Diwali the advance booking has picked up the pace, rising to 50 percent on November 7 from 30 percent on November 6.
