The Los Angeles Lakers returned home from a two-game road trip with a pair of losses to add to their record, falling to the Spurs 110-106 on Saturday and the Timberwolves 124-120 on Monday.

Johnson "admonished" Walton for the Lakers' performance so far this season and made the coach aware there is immediate pressure on him to deliver a winning team, according to ESPN, citing unidentified league sources.

"I'm going to go with Lonzo and LeBron".

"We've played some good teams and we've had a chance to win a lot of those games", Walton said. My message to the players was, 'We know this was going to happen.

Walton rebuffed the reports today saying that his relationship with management was "great".

The Lakers opened the season 3-5 amidst rising expectations following the arrival of LeBron James in July.

Buss has been one of Walton's most solid supporters since Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka assumed control of operations in 2017.

According to National Basketball Association insiders Adrian Wojnarowski and Dave McMenamin, Magic Johnson "admonished" Walton over the Lake-Show's sluggish start.

Following practice on Friday, Walton was asked about his standing with the Lakers and he was very confident in his standing as the team's head coach. "We knew it was going to be like that from the summer when 'Zo had the knee surgery".
