Shivaji Satam's iconic TV show CID set for a break

The show was first aired in 1998 and since then it is successfully entertaining the audiences for over two decades. Indianexpress.com has exclusive information that the series is not ending but going on a three-month break.

Let us tell you that this show is coming on Indian television since 1997 and there are only shows that can go long run with so much affection. The show is based on the theme of crime investigation done by department of Crime Investigation. "It has been a great journey so far, along with Fireworks Productions, and CID will now take an intermittent break starting October 28", a statement from the channel said, IANS reported. Over the years, show has given some memorable characters like ACP Pradyuman (played by Shivaji Satam), Senior Inspector Abhijeet (played by Aditya Shrivastav), Senior Inspector Daya (played by Dayanand Shetty) and Inspector Fredricks (played by Dinesh Phadnis). The last episode of the show will be telecasted on 29th October and this is something that will turn out a shock for the loyal fanbase of the Sony channel.

However, the makers intent to return with a brand new season of CID. Tweets like "Don't end CID" and "End of era" have been posted.

He told Times of India that the cast will miss each other because the set is their second home. Recently it also completed 1546 episodes and this has turned a shock for the actors.
