LeBron James Talks Lakers vs. Rockets Fight

James Harden scored 36 points for the Rockets while LeBron pocketed 24 points on his new home floor.

More often than not, National Basketball Association "fights" feature more shoves and "come at me, bros" than actual punches. McCollum was suspended for the Trail Blazers' season opener after displaying no violence whatsoever.

The NBA will take an extended look at the fight during Saturday night's game between the Lakers and Rockets.

"The atmosphere was great", James said.

He began serving the suspension Sunday night when the Clippers played the Rockets. World Peace elbowed Harden, who was then playing for Oklahoma City, in a game also at Staples Center to earn that penalty, the irony being Harden is the one who Ingram fouled to start Saturday's fracas. Clearly frustrated, Ingram then proceeded to shove Harden from behind, then got in the face of the referee and was vociferously arguing with him. Paul thrust his finger into Rondo's face and neck, which Rondo responded to by punching Paul in the face. James attempted to break up the fight by grabbing Paul, his friend.

Ingram, Paul and Rondo were all ejected.

Jack made the game a family affair with son Ray, 26, by his side, as the life long Lakers Fan watched his team play. I understand he gets maybe one (game).

When tempers cooled after a almost 10-minute break, Houston finished the game on a 15-8 run. "That's unacceptable", Rockets forward Carmelo Anthony said (via the Los Angeles Times). On the court, you have teammates, coaches, and security readily available to pull you back. He declined to comment on the fight after the game.

"Yeah, James was James".

"It's just not equitable, " he said. "It had some intensity and quickness, and how fast it was".
