Friends of the South River Library Used Book, Media, & Bake Sale

The Friends of the Fort Smith Public Library will hold its children's and young adult used book sale October 26-29 at the Main Branch of the Fort Smith Public Library, 3201 Rogers Ave. As of August 2018, the Friends have contributed $12,870 toward summer reading and other library programs.

Twice Sold Tales bookstore is open 11 a.m.to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.All proceeds go toward improving the public library. Membership is $10 for individuals or $25 for families.

9 a.m.to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20.

The regular book sale will continue from 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

After the public sale, qualified nonprofit organizations' libraries and educational institutions are invited to select items from the general sales room.

Books, CDs and DVDs in good condition are accepted year-round and can be dropped off at the main desk of the library.

One daughter and father pair of book collector traveled from out of state to come to the sale.
