Bollywood hero Sushant Singh Rajput got embroiled in a sort of #MeToo controversy owing to some unclaimed allegations that he has harassed the heroine of his upcoming film "Kizie Aur Manny". On one occasion, she seemed to have got uncomfortable and apparently brought it to the notice of her parents, who reportedly told her to return to the set only if she felt she should.

According to a statement, the suspension stays till the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of M/s Mukesh Chhabra Casting Company concludes its inquiry into the allegations against Mr. Chhabra. Sanjana has not reacted to allegations against Sushant yet.

Reacting to the sexual harassment accusation, Sushant took to his Twitter page and called it an agenda and a campaign by people to malign his image. In the chat, the actors are sharing their experience of working with each other and "non-conducive conditions" on the film's set.

"I feel sad to reveal personal information but it seems that there is no other way to state what was, in the midst of this curated and well-timed smear campaign".

The rumours of Sushant Singh Rajput's behaviour on the sets of the Mukesh Chhabra film first appeared in a blind item a few months ago, wherein it was stated that the heroine of a film even complained to her mother and the director about the lead actor.

Looks like, Twitter did not take charges against Sushant Singh Rajput lightly and took away his verification, blue, tick. The actor clarified that his account has not had a verification badge since September 5. Sushant just responded to that too and wrote, "And for all those deliberately using the missing of Twitter "blue tick" to substantiate their false claims, allow me to tell you that it is not there since 5th of September".

Later, director Mukesh Chhabra and the studio bankrolling the project refuted these reports. He clarified the move with a Twitter post today.

Meanwhile, the axe has fallen on casting director-turned-director Mukesh Chhabra, who has been suspended after being accused of sexual misconduct during one of his casting trysts.
