HALLOWEEN Cast and Crew Talk About Their First Experiences with Michael Myers

In some ways, the new Halloween film is - like its predecessor - blissfully simple, the story of a determined woman (Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode) taking on an unstoppable killing machine in the form of Michael Myers (Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney).

Theatres asked anyone planning to see the new "Halloween" movie to leave Michael Myers masks behind.

Director David Gordon Green's sequel, which picks up four decades after Carpenter's original film (and disregards the installments in between), sends Myers on another murder spree through suburbia, though former baby sitter Laurie Strode (Curtis) has been preparing for his return.

"All we wanted to do was make a movie, and make a scary movie, and that's all we cared about", says John Carpenter of his now iconic original film, which he directed when he was just shy of 30 years old.

Today, the film finally hits theaters, where it's apparently on course to rake in something like $70M at the box office.

Are you as excited as we are to return to Haddonfield? Spoilers are not only allowed but encouraged in the space below (we're really curious to hear where you think they might take this franchise in the inevitable sequel), so be aware of that if you're reading this post without having seen the movie first.
