The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro's face-lift has been controversial. Since the new SS front end has debuted with the enormous grille opening with a black bar running through the middle, carrying the bowtie badge.

Specialty Vehicle Engineering, Inc. Just as before, the 2019 Yenko/SC Camaro is offered in two states of tune.

There's no word on performance specifications, but the 2019 Camaro is offered with an assortment of engines including everything from a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 275 hp (205 kW / 278 PS) to a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 developing 650 hp (485 kW / 659 PS). The heads were also upgraded significantly with custom CNC-porting along with a higher-output fuel system to support the big power.

Frankly, I like the look of this concept front end more than the production 2019 Camaro SS front end, as I prefer the tradition bowtie location and the clear split in the grille openings. A body-colored carbon-fiber hood with power bulge and non-functional scoop comes standard and might improve the 2019 Camaro's polarizing front end for some.

Today, the company previewed one of the cars that will be on display at SEMA, with the unique 2019 Chevrolet Camaro SS shown above showcasing the newest exterior color option. Michelin PS4S summer tires come standard in a staggered fitment of 295/30 front and 305/30 rear.

To ensure the best in handling and driveability, SVE chose the 2019 Camaro SS 1LE to base the new Yenko on.

As you might've guessed, getting your Camaro to Yenko spec won't be cheap. The more powerful Stage II kit will set you back $66,995, bringing the price well over the six-figure mark including the cost of the Camaro itself.

Besides the special paint job, the Camaro has been equipped with accessories and performance parts as well as concept components. But if you do get one, you'll join a pretty exclusive club. The shop says just 25 examples of the custom Camaro will be built.

The Yenko/SC Camaro is available to order at select GM dealers in the US and Canada.
