Thankfully, most don't seem to have been too bad in the end: Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are already back in training after missing an worldwide match each, while Sadio Mane has had surgery on his hand.

The nature of the issue means there is less optimism about Keita's condition in comparison to the other players who handed Jurgen Klopp injury scares over the global break.

Van Dijk played the entirety of the Netherlands' win over Germany on Saturday and then returned to Liverpool - missing Tuesday's friendly with Belgium.

Prior to the pause in domestic action, midfielder James Milner was forced off 30 minutes into Liverpool's Premier League meeting with Manchester City.

A broken thumb for Sadio Mane, which required surgery, could also force Klopp into further changes to his side.

David Wagner believes that Jurgen Klopp will still name a strong side this weekend when the two sides meet on Saturday night.

However, Huddersfield will be hoping to at least hold Liverpool to a draw, with some reports making it known that five of Klopp's key players will not be available for the match. I have known him long enough and he likes to moan after the worldwide break!

But Wagner is not convinced any of them will miss the match at 5.30pm on Saturday.

'Every performance gives you belief and every win gives you belief - unfortunately we have no wins so far - but we have performed at a good level consistently over the last weeks and in training the guys look very good as well.
