Even the most picture-perfect couples have to put in work!

David Beckham has admitted marriage to Victoria Beckham can be "hard work" as he claims their relationship is becoming more "complicated" as they grow together.

He told host Lisa Wilkinson: "Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference".

'David Beckham rarely gives sit-down interviews, but last week, ahead of his arrival in Australia for the #InvictusGames, I sat down with David in London for his only Aussie TV interview, ' the 58-year-old captioned the photograph of David.

Four months ago, the Beckhams - who are said to be worth £340-million - had to deny "bizarre" rumours their marriage was over after widespread speculation they were getting a divorce.

We jest - the two have been married for almost two decades - a feat not many get to, and that isn't lost on the former pro footballer, who opened up on making his love continue to work with the mother of his four children.

Fashion designer Victoria, 44, recently insisted she and her ex-England captain husband are "stronger together" than they would be on their own, and the couple have "respect" for their family unit.

We can assume the United Kingdom native means protecting his children from outside noise, including the media who continues to speculate about divorce and family turmoil with the famous British family.

"We both realise that we're stronger together than we are as individuals", Victoria said.

Victoria also spoke about their relationship in a recent interview with Vogue, explaining that the pair are used to ignoring rumours about their marriage. We are much stronger the six of us, than we would be if we were individuals. "The thing we have to do is protect our children". It's all about the family unit.
