"I welcome American entertainment stars Kanye West and @KimKardashian to Uganda", he wrote on Twitter alongside a series of photos documenting their meeting.

After his odd meeting with President Trump, Kanye West is now with wife Kim Kardashian in Africa to work on his album.

Mr Museveni met the Wests at State House Entebbe; two days after the celebrity couple arrived in the country for a fun filled trip combining a holiday, philanthropy work and Business.

"I held fruitful discussions with them".

In case you completely missed it in the craziness that is this week, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are now hanging out in Africa with their daughter North, and while there, they met the President of Uganda.

Kanye donated several pairs of Yeezy sneakers, Beats by Dre headphones and T-shirts to the children at the orphanage run by the NGO, Uganda Women's Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO), which was founded by Ugandan First Lady Janet Museveni some 32 years ago. "Enjoy your time in Uganda", Museveni tweeted.

Bobi Wine believes Kanye West should have "used his voice for the good of people in Africa" instead of using his image "just to rub shoulders with the president". "It is the true Pearl of Africa", said the President.

He set up a temporary music studio in the wild for next week where he is planning to record a new album.

Museveni gave both of his visitors Ugandan names: "Kanyesigye" for Kanye, meaning "I trust", and "Kemigisha" for Kim, meaning "the one with blessings from God", the BBC reports.

Museveni, like Kanye, is also a big fan of President Donald Trump. "Mr. Trump. I love Trump", Museveni said in January 2018, according to the BBC.

"I tell you what, that was pretty impressive", Trump said after West seemed to run out of steam.
