Disney Stars Kristen Bell and Keira Knightly Diss the Disney Princesses

Kristen Bell has a bone to pick with Snow White, and it's not just that she does all the cooking and cleaning for seven small men and it's never fully explained.

Bell, who reads to her children Lincoln, 5, and Delta, 3, every night, told Parents Magazine that she always asks them if they find it odd that the prince kisses Snow White.

'Every time we close Snow White, I look at my girls and ask, "Don't you think it's weird that Snow White didn't ask the old witch why she needed to eat the apple?"

During an interview with Parents.com, Bell talked about reading with her daughters before bed, and brought up the subject of Snow White.

Food from a stranger is hardly the only part of Snow White that Bell takes issue with; there's also the uninvited kiss The Prince gives Snow while she's sleeping.

However, Bell, 38, wants her daughters to question the morality behind such a plotline in a post-#MeToo-awareness world where consent is considered the most important factor between two people engaging in any sexual or romantic activity. "You don't think it's okay to let some wealthy, handsome sovereign give you an unconsented kiss simply because you're lying in a coma in glass coffin in the middle of the woods surrounded by crying dwarves and anthropomorphized forest animals, do you?" I recently learned that Keira Knightley, star of the upcoming "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms", has some concerns about Disney, as well.

The voice behind Princess Anna of "Frozen" reveals that she's concerned about the messages Disney princesses are sending children.

"Cinderella, banned because she just waits around for a rich guy to rescue her", Knightley said in a recent appearance on The Ellen Show. "Don't. Rescue yourself, obviously", Knightley said.

"This is the one that I'm quite annoyed about because I really like the film", she said. Bell says she has asked her daughters. And I get it.

"I love 'The Little Mermaid, ' so that one's a little bit tricky, but I'm keeping to it", she added. I once asked them. And not annoying questions!
