All That Remains Founding Member Has Died At 44

The band has shared an official statement on their social media account and confirmed the tragic death.

While the cause of death was not revealed, Oli's widow Beth revealed on the his fan Facebook page the family would explain what happened when they had 'a complete picture'.

Oli Herbert, founding member and guitarist of All That Remains, has died.

"Old was an incredibly talent guitarist and song writer who defined Rock and Metal from the Northeast. His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely", All That Remains said in a statement.

"Thank you all for the kind thoughts and words".

"In the meantime, please respect our privacy as there are still relatives being informed of Oli's passing".

Hebert, an original member of the band along with vocalist, Phil Labonte, had played with the group since 1998 and has performed on all nine of the band's studio albums.

"No way. Oli was a pretty big influence on my playing the past few years", one user wrote.

"The world has lost one of the sweetest and most talented musicians I have ever known", Brian Fair added.

Penley says: "On behalf of Oli's wife and family, I can confirm that Oli Herbert passed away yesterday unexpectedly as a result of an accident which occurred on the property of his home". The band is scheduled to release a new album, "Victim Of The New Disease", November 9.

The band is scheduled to come to the United Kingdom in December to perform six dates as part of a European tour.
