With that in mind, the cheeky Hitman video game series is having some fun with the actor's reputation and putting him in their new game, Hitman 2, as an "Elusive Target".

Sean Bean is known for dying. Mark Faba will be the name of the character that Bean plays and the Elusive Target mission, called The Undying, will kick off a week after release on November 20. While the session ends badly for Faba's therapist, the video closes with a familiar character emerging, who has been patiently watching the entire time-the masterful Agent 47. Now, thanks to the upcoming Hitman 2, you might be able to be a part of Bean's long rich history of being killed off in pieces of media. "It's always exciting to take on a new role, and I look forward to seeing my character in action when the Elusive Target mission launches".

Elusive targets were introduced in the Hitman reboot and are only available as live online missions.

Warner Bros and IO Interactive today announced that global actor Sean Bean will star in the first Elusive Target mission for Hitman 2.

Hitman 2 is due to be released on November 13 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC but the elusive missions probably won't start until a few weeks after that. "Elusive Targets have become a distinguishing trait in Hitman games as part of the constant stream of free live content for all players to enjoy".

Check out the Hitman 2 trailer below. From sun-drenched streets to dark and risky rainforests, nowhere is safe from the world's most creative assassin, Agent 47. However, when he learns the hidden truth about his past, nothing will ever be the same.
