Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have broken up this weekend, according to TMZ.

Per the reports, the pair apparently "still has love" for each other, but things are over - at least for now - from a romantic perspective.

Davidson appeared on Saturday night's episode of Saturday Night Live, which featured former SNL star Seth Meyers.

Grande was shaken by the sudden death of ex-boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller, who passed away in September.

"He just ticks every box, and it gets better every day", she said on "Good Morning America".

Meanwhile, Davidson bought an engagement ring worth $100,000 for Grande. Just last month, Grande's ex-fiance Mac Miller died of a drug overdose. Lately, posts together have whittled down; Davidson's social media accounts have been deleted as of writing. Her team had issued a statement which read, "Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend". According to TMZ, the pair made a decision to separate over the weekend.

But after the summer of Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson's epic whirlwind romance, it still was a bit jarring to see the headlines on Sunday evening.

Grande also told ET that she had been struggling with anxiety since May 2017, after her concert in Manchester, England was the site of a terrorist bombing that took the lives of 22 people.

For those wondering why the news started trending worldwide, this wasn't an ordinary celebrity split.
