The front camera offers 60-FPS video at 1920x1080 for potentially crisp and smooth video chatting. It also comes with a Snapdragon 845 processor - an upgrade from the original - as well as 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

In spite of incremental improvements, the Razer Phone 2 unsurprisingly continues being touted as the ultimate option for mobile gamers.

A transparent Razer Phone 2 actually seems like a great fit, allowing Razer to maintain its rugged and functional design while adding some visual differentiation through visible internals. The Razer Phone 2 tries to correct that by bumping up the brightness all the way to 580 nits, which is an improvement of almost 50 per cent over the Razer Phone. Keeping everything cool is Razer's vapor chamber cooling system which helps better dissipate heat under load.

A 5.72-inch IGZO LCD panel with a QHD (2,560 x 1,440) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio makes a return as well, together with a 12-megapixel dual-camera setup, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a 4,000mAh battery.

Razer has designed the Razer Phone 2 with a new glass back to support Wireless charging. Presuming you're in a place where you won't be murdered for playing audio without headphones, the Razer Phone 2 apparently has even louder speakers than ever and Dolby Atmos certification. Unlike last year's phone, Razer Chroma is supported for the logo on the back, and you can customize it to your flashy heart's content, if you're into that sort of thing. It also supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 4+ so that you can charge the phone from 0 percent to 50 percent within just 30 minutes. The listing, which has since been removed, included images of the handset, as well as some details about its new features, including the presence of RGB lighting and wireless charging. Razer pre-installs its mildly tweaked version of Android 8.1, and a good track record of updates for the original Razer Phone should reassure software-conscious buyers.

The Razer Phone 2 will be available from US$799 in mirror black and satin black finishes. The Razer Phone 2 tries to correct majority while retaining all the things that made the original a gaming enthusiast's delight. We still haven't heard anything regarding the battery and camera, though, so it's probably worth tuning into the live stream tonight.
