"We have registered a case against Patekar and others under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 509 (word, gesture or act meant to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC", additional commissioner of police (west region) Manojkumar Sharma told PTI. She also claimed that the other influential people on the sets like Ganesh Acharya, Samee Siddiqui and the director Rakesh Sarang turned blind eye to the incidents which led her to walk out of the film and quit the film industry. Everyone was taking Patekar's side, she said. The 40-page compilation includes details of the 2008 complaint registered with Goregaon police which talks about the dance sequence in the film, choreographed by Acharya, which Dutta was not happy with.

Dutta added that she felt "uncomfortable and embarrassed" as a result of his "inappropriate behaviour" and that he had "outraged her modesty".

Patekar has denied misbehaving with Dutta on the sets of the film, calling her claims a "lie". Dutta also added in her complaint that she could not understand the contents of the FIR, as it was written in Marathi.

The actor said she was being forced and pressurised to do the steps but after she refused, the producer threatened to defame her. This is not the first time an FIR has been filed for the case; in 2008, Tanushree's father Tapan Dutta had filed a case after her vehicle was attacked while leaving the sets of Horn Ok Please, however, there was no outcome for the case.

"Anyone, who is found guilty of harassment of any kind, will be boycotted by the federation".

On the way out, her vehicle was attacked but with the help of the police she managed to escape from the spot, it added.

The commission also asked film producers, media houses and cine artist associations to set up an internal committee to address complaints filed by women in Bollywood.

In 2008, Tanushree's father Tapan Kumar Dutta had filed an FIR when she allegedly underwent the ordeal and her auto was attacked while exiting the sets of "Horn Ok Pleasss". A senior police official said witnesses who were present in the studio at the time would be summoned and their statements recorded one by one.
