Fans who waited until the end of the Avengers: Infinity War's closing credits know that the film teased her character's return to Earth to help save the day after the devastating aftermath of Thanos' snap. The star is reportedly set to earn $15 million, which would be equal the payouts for Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth in both Avengers: Infinity War and their own starring roles movies, Captain America: Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok.

The report also notes that Larson, in part because of such loyalty, is receiving $5m for Captain Marvel, which is well above the normal starting price in the MCU (Chadwick Boseman, for example, received $2m for Black Panther as per the same report, and that was considerably more than Robert Downey Jr was making 10 years ago).

Black Widow will be Johansson's 8th outing as the character, counting the upcoming Avengers 4, which is due out in theaters May 3, 2019. The deal reportedly doesn't just confine the star to sequels to her solo movie but instead extends to multiple franchises within the MCU.

Two of those movies, of course, will arrive next year, with solo film Captain Marvel in March followed by Avengers 4 in April, but what about the other five?

While the huge salaries mean big budgets, the films usually are huge hits. Avengers movies in general have all hit a billion worldwide easily. THR also says that actors typically get a bonus depending on the film's performance at the box office.

A spokesperson for Marvel has denied the numbers for ScarJo, however.

THR reports that a Marvel Studios spokesman responded to their request for comment saying "Marvel Studios disputes the accuracy of these numbers, and as a matter of policy, we never publicly disclose salaries or deal terms".
