Instead of breaking down the Dagestani's fourth-round submission of Conor McGregor, we've been left to discuss the ramifications of the post-fight melee that erupted moments after the Irishman tapped to a neck crank at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC president Dana White says Conor McGregor has already called him, asking for an immediate rematch against Khabib Nurmagomedov.

In the aftermath of the headlining fight, Nurmagomedov leapt over the octagon and jumped into the stands, where he proceeded to fight members of McGregor's entourage.

McGregor was issued a 30-day competition suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) after the bout, among several short-term bans for fighters on the card in what is a common move after MMA bouts, with no contact allowed until 28 October before McGregor's ban expires 6 November. "And he's going to get suspended (by the NAC), so maybe you give him a four-to-six month suspension".

"First I was like, 'Damn, what are you doing here - especially alone?'" Ortega told TMZ after bumping into Danis. McGregor then landed a punch on a member of Nurmagomedov's team who had made his way into the octagon.

Brian tells us he was hanging at the club following Conor vs. Khabib when he saw Danis in a hoodie trying to stay low-key. But it is actually amusing, I was just thinking about this, you know that right hand, if you showed it to a boxing coach he would say "That's awful".

Now Nurmagomedov's father has released his first statement on the incident where he admonished his son's actions while promising to punish him far worse than anything the UFC could have in store for him.

White defended against critics who said the promotion had stoked the flames of the brawl by highlighting an infamous bus attack by McGregor. "You should not be able to keep his whole purse".
