Samsung has announced its new Galaxy A9 smartphone, which the company says is the first smartphone to include four rear cameras. Galaxy A9 will be available in select markets fromNovember.

According to Blass, the first rear camera has an ultra wide 8MP sensor, f/2.4 aperture and 120-degree field of view. Below that, a 2x optical zoom-enabled telephoto camera will enable users to get closer to their subjects.

"On the front, the Galaxy A9 sports a 6.3" Full HD+ (2,220×1,080) Super AMOLED display with relatively small bezels and a single 24MP front-facing camera (f/2.0). Do note that you can expand that existing storage up to 512GB via microSD card slot but we are certain that it will take up a single SIM card slot.

The Galaxy A9 has a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen that Samsung is branding an "Immersive Display", which as far as we can tell is marketing term to differentiate between the dual-curved "Infinity Display" technology found on the flagship Galaxy S9 and Note 9. The recently launched triple rear camera smartphone, Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) was launched at Rs 23,999 and Rs 28,999 for 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.

At the front, the Galaxy A9 2018 handles selfies with a massive 24MP f/2.0 sensor, which also benefits from Samsung's camera features. That will be situated on top of the depth camera at the very bottom, one that has 5MP, F2.2, and feature "live focus".

Battery: The Galaxy A9 (2018) will house a 3,800mAh battery with fast charge support via USB Type-C. It will be available in Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink color options with gradient finish.

The four cameras on the back have different focal lengths, apertures and purposes.

There's not long to go now before the official unveiling of the Galaxy A9 - what else do you reckon it'll have in store?

"Building on our legacy in smartphone camera development we're introducing next-generation technology across our entire Galaxy portfolio to give more consumers the opportunity to experience cutting-edge innovation".
