The upcoming Asus ROG gaming phone that first appeared in June at Computex now has a price and preorder date.

ASUS has scheduled an event on October 18 to debut the ROG Phone in the US. Though that price tag is certainly going to scare off the average consumer, it's quite a bit cheaper than some of Apple and Samsung's newest devices - despite the ROG Phone's high-end hardware and seemingly-high-quality construction. ASUS has been in the PC industry for a long, long time and they are doing what they can to bridge the gap between gaming phones and gaming computers. It comes with a specially speed binned Snapdragon 845, 8GB of RAM, UFS 2.1 storage, and a 6-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 90Hz refresh rate and 1ms pixel response time. Finally a dedicated ROG Phone case will be available for $60.

The phone also sports Asus' vapor-chamber cooling system, and a detachable AeroActive Cooler, which connects via a USB-C port on the phone's side (yes, the phone has another USB-C port, alongside a headphone jack, on the bottom). The full range of accessories available for the phone will also be available starting in Q4. It does, however, have a few more tricks that make it a mobile gaming machine.

The TwinView Dock, available for $399.99 Dollars, turns ROG Phone into a powerful dual-screen console for the ultimate gaming and live-streaming experience, or to allow for simultaneous viewing of a game map and gameplay at the same time - on supported games. Other accessories include the $399.99 TwinView Dock, which adds an additional, 6-inch screen to the phone and the $329.99 WiGig dock which lets you wirelessly stream the image from the phone to a TV with an under-20ms latency. The WiGig Dock will be available for purchase for $329.99 Dollars.

The ROG Phone Case is created to provide premium protection for the ROG Phone, keeping it safe from everyday scratches, knocks and bumps.
