While celebrities like Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan supported her claim, even his associates, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane agreed upon the allegations.

The notice also accuses Kashyap and Motwane to have made statements against him based on "hearsay material" and adds, "Our client states that you are neither a witness nor an alleged victim, but instead an opportunist seeking to derive benefit based on unsubstantiated information". Mr Bahl has accused his former partners of professional jealousy.

Kashyap on Wednesday said he has chose to step down as the board member of Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image (MAMI) of which he has been a member ever since its inception.

Bahl has also accused Kashyap and Motwane of "timing" their allegations just before the release of his new film Super 30 which stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead. MUMBAI- Actor Rajkummar Rao, who worked with Bollywood director Vikas Bahl on the movie Queen, has spoken out after HuffPost India published a detailed account of a survivor who said Bahl assaulted her in 2015. In their tweets, Kashyap and Motawane issued statements over sexual harassment allegations levelled against the "Queen" director and stated that they were deeply sorry for not handling the incident properly when required. In separate notices, Bahl has accused the directors of reacting without knowing the truth.

After the #MeToo movement knocked on Bollywood's door, several prominent members of the film industry, including actors Nana Patekar, Alok Nath and Rajat Kapoor, singer Kailash Kher and poet-lyricist Vairamuthu, among others, have been outed as alleged sexual predators. The woman had also revealed that people at the production house knew about the whole thing but had taken no action. AIB co-founder Tanmay Bhat, who acknowledged that he knew of Utsav's alleged misconduct and did nothing, has "stepped away" from the collective.
