Taylor Swift breaks record for most AMA wins by female artist

While accepting her award for Artist of the Year at the show, Taylor pointed out that American Music Awards are voted for by the people...just like the upcoming midterm elections.

It's official: After taking home three awards at the 2018 AMAs, Taylor Swift has more AMAs than any other female artist - and she used the opportunity to urge people to vote during the midterm elections!

The 28-year-old singer brought her pregnant friend Claire Winter Kislinger as her date to the awards show!

Swift's touring guest Camila Cabello also won four awards, while Kane Brown swept the country categories, winning favourite male, favourite album and favourite song.
