This is the second time Borderlands 2 has been squeezed on Sony's specialised hardware, the full game was also ported to PlayStation Vita. This $49.99 game will give people access to the acclaimed shooter with looting elements in VR.

And this version of Borderlands 2 is a single player experience, which means Vault Hunter skills that rely on teamwork are out.

Borderlands 2 VR, a virtual reality recreation of Borderlands 2, is making its way to PS VR headsets later this year. Players will be able to navigate through the menus by "pointing, clicking, dragging. and dropping". Driving vehicles now happens in first-person, with weapons controlled by head movement, and players can choose between standard controller movement or that new VR standard, point-to-point teleportation.

Borderlands 2 originally launched on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in September 2012. Co-op play has always been one of the biggest tenants of what makes a Borderlands game so to see it absent here is a bit odd even though it is understandable.

The long beloved Borderlands series has been around for almost a decade, and to mark the momentous occasion, 2K and Gearbox announced that Borderlands 2 VR will be coming to PlayStation VR on December 14, 2018. Those of you who pre-order the game will receive a PS4 Dynamic Theme for your troubles. These links leave Siliconera.
