Elton John's farewell tour coming to Vancouver's Rogers Arena

Known for such classics as Rocket Man, Tiny Dancer, Crocodile Rock and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, John has scheduled two shows in the city, October 1 and 2, 2019.

Spanning 25 dates, the newly announced leg includes multiple Canadian dates in Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Toronto.

Tickets for the Charlotte show will go on sale to the general public beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5 at www.spectrumcentercharlotte.com and www.ticketmaster.com, the Spectrum Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone at 800-745-3000.

American Express card members can get a jump on sales from Thursday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. through Monday, Oct. 1 at 10 p.m.

"Elton John's "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour is a celebration of one of music's and pop culture's most legendary and unrivalled performers", AEG Presents chairman and CEO Jay Marciano said in a statement.

"You have no idea how much I love to play live", he continued.

"I can't physically do the traveling anymore", he said.

A man who needs no introduction, John is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time, with 38 gold records and 31 platinum albums, 29 consecutive Top 40 hits, and he has sold more than 300 million records worldwide. "I've had an incredible life, but life is all about change".
