But the jump was outside Grand Canyon National Park on the Navajo Nation.

- Like a scene out of a high-octane action movie that he would star in, Will Smith celebrated his 50th birthday Tuesday by successfully bungee jumping from a helicopter near the Grand Canyon.

Viewers will be able to watch the stunt live on Smith's YouTube channel at 3 p.m. PT or on the live stream below.

This all started as a dare from the four-person collective Yes Theory, described as strangers who "bonded over the idea that life is best lived outside of your comfort zone".

The video was hosted by Smith's longtime friend and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air costar Alfonso Ribiero, and Smith's family was also on hand for the 1,000-foot leap, including mom Caroline; wife Jada Pinkett-Smith; and kids Trey, Jaden, and Willow. As they waited at the edge of the canyon, Smith strapped into a helicopter and prepared for the jump.

However, he has no plans to confront at least one of his other fears.

"I was scared to take in the beauty", he lamented. "When I was a teenager, I was like, 'I hate that feeling".

Naturally, the jump set the internet on fire. Heli-jumping is considered more unsafe than traditional bungee jumping because there is no solid foundation. It's spectacular! I would definitely do it again!
