In the midst of his visit to the United Nations, President Donald Trump on Tuesday denounced Democrats and some of the allegations made against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanugh, as the President accused Democrats of playing a "very risky game" in their opposition to the judge's nomination.

In an interview with Fox News on Monday, the judge said: "I'm not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process".

"I've always treated women with dignity and respect", Kavanaugh said, using a phrase that he repeated another three times. This statement came just hours after White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Trump would be open to allowing Ramirez to testify as part of the confirmation process. She adds, "This is a country where you're innocent until proven guilty except when you're a conservative Republican". "She admits time lapses".

Trump also praised the judge, and accused Democrats of portraying Kavanaugh as someone he is not.

Kavanaugh, who also denies that allegation, said he wishes to testify as soon as possible to clear his name following Ford's claims that he attacked her at a high school party. With all 11 GOP Judiciary committee members male, Republicans have hired a female attorney who would question Ford for them, said a GOP aide who was not authorized to publicly discuss the matter. As we got to know one another, I discovered that Debbie was very anxious about fitting in.

However, Roche who is now CEO of a software company, says Ramirez "stood out as being exceptionally honest and gentle" while Kavanaugh was a "notably heavy drinker". Several Republican senators have said they won't decide how to vote on Kavanaugh until after the hearing.

The president showed no initial sign of wanting to walk away from Kavanaugh and expressed frustration that the confirmation process has not moved more quickly. A major slip-up could endanger Kavanaugh's confirmation and create political pain for the GOP in the midterm elections.

Kavanaugh went even further in the Fox News interview.

Trump said Ford's allegation was 36 years old "and nobody ever heard about it".

Any new nominee to the Supreme Court will likely not be confirmed in time for the November 6 US midterm elections.

When asked about the allegations that he attempted to rape Ford and thrust his bare penis in Ramirez's face, Kavanaugh repeatedly denied doing any "such thing". A smear campaign, pure and simple.

The Senate Democratic leader, Chuck Schumer, says Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell owes Christine Blasey Ford an apology for calling her allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh a smear job.

James Roche, a software company CEO, who shared a dorm room with Kavanagh at Yale University, in CT, in 1983, has spoken out against the Supreme Court pick. Democrats have repeatedly demanded a renewed Federal Bureau of Investigation probe, but that's been rejected by Trump and Republicans.

Kavanaugh's second accuser is Deborah Ramirez, who claims Kavanaugh exposed himself to her during a drunken party in a Yale dorm in 1983.

Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway on Monday appeared on "CBS This Morning" to talk about the multiple allegations made against Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Mormon Women for Ethical Government, which is not affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, said the allegations are serious and the Senate shouldn't rush Kavanaugh's vote.
