We played an incredible Premier League season past year, gaining 100 points.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admits he does not know when injury-plagued French worldwide fullback Benjamin Mendy will be back in action after he suffered a metatarsal injury.

Gundogan was on form for Man City during their 5-0 win over Cardiff City on Saturday.

"He's (Aguero) a good model to learn from - how he moves in the 18-yard box".

"To score goals you have to be patient".

City were reeling after their midweek loss in the UEFA Champions League to Lyon, but Guardiola insisted that he never lost faith in his players.

The Argentine striker had said in March that he might leave City in 2020 because he wanted to end his career at former club Independiente but his new deal will keep City's all-time leading goalscorer at the club until he is 33.

"His movement, his high pressing is the best in the world".

"The beginning wasn't easy because we knew Cardiff are a very physical team and we knew they were going to play a lot of long balls, so it was about winning the second balls and being aggressive", he said. But the most important thing for Gabriel is to show the desire to improve and pay attention in the training sessions and he will get it.

"The World Cup I was not there, but they are young and that's the challenge, about what you have done and if you are able to overcome those situations". Afterward, the City boss was unhappy with the physical approach of Neil Warnock's side.

Cardiff City defender Greg Cunningham says their next fixture, at home to Burnley, is now a massive game. "It was months ago, a different competition, the FA Cup, now it's a Premier League game". Were a little bit under par in the first half on Wednesday, but we must not forget Champions League opponents are good, too.
