The argument began between the friends of 50 years at a home in IN, when the discussion got heated over a song and its artist, according to the Indianapolis Star.

According to local FOX59 News, the.38-calibre revolver discharged when Washburn allegedly smacked his friend in the face and shoulder with the weapon.

According to a Johnson County Sheriff's Department report, Washburn and two other friends broke out in an argument late Friday night in regards to if a song was performed by Bruno Mars or not.

It was not immediately clear which Bruno Mars song started the dispute.

The debate escalated after the man showed Washburn proof that the song was indeed by Bruno Mars. The caller was then allegedly pistol-whipped - with the gun going off as a result - after calling Washburn an expletive, the man told the Indianapolis Star.

When Washburn hit him, the gun went off.

Roger Washburn, 71, is charged with Battery with Injury and Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, both Level 6 felonies. They tussled again and the gun went off a second time.

The victim, the police report stated, suffered "a small gouge on his right cheek, blood on his trousers, shirt and a red abrasion on his right forearm", according to FOX59. Unfortunately, the police report does not mention whether the song in question was "Uptown Funk" or "That's What I Like".
