The Kirin 980 is shaping up to be one of the best processors for this year and it will be interesting to see how it compares to Apple's latest.

Huawei said that Mate 20 lite users will also receive extended usage with its 3750mAh battery that rivals most smartphones available on the South African market.

Huawei has announced official pricing for its Mate 20 lite in South Africa. A more affordable solution could be coming from Huawei in the form of the Kirin 980 SoC, which, according to the Chinese company, should be faster than the A12 Bionic. We're looking forward to testing it out when its released on the new Mate series mid October.

The curved glass body is appears to sit comfortably in the hand, and the curve continues onto the front of the phone where the large display has a small waterdrop style notch for the front-facing camera.

Spin the Mate 20 Pro around and it appears fans will be treated to a triple camera setup and flash that have been placed in a square pattern.

The phone in the video is the Mate 20, not the Pro with the fingerprint sensor on the rear a key hint.

This could mean Huawei is planning to embed the scanner under the display or follow Apple with its exclusive use of facial recognition.

The new true wireless headphones are said to offer something even Apple's can not: wireless charging from one of the forthcoming Mate 20 or Mate 20 Pro handsets.

Huawei will reportedly unveil a new pair of wireless earbuds during its 16 October launch event.

One final rumour suggests a new accessory is inbound with the Mate 20.

They look uncannily like AirPods this time around, with a similar shaped earbud design.
