If this tickles your fancy, then you can get a taste of Gambit from 6.00pm BST on September 21 until 6.00pm BST, September 23.

Destiny 2's new Crucible mode, Breakthrough, will be released on September 25, Bungie has revealed.

One of the greatest new additions of Destiny 2's newest expansion, Gambit, is going to be free this weekend for ALL players!

At the beginning of each round, players will fight to capture a central zone.

Should time run out during the process of hacking a Vault, the team will enter Sudden Death until the Vault is either hacked or the enemy team removes all of their progress. Depending on the map, I've found myself employing a more flexible arsenal in Destiny 2 lately, such as Ace of Spades for close range and my favourite bow for long-range sniping and the most delicious of headshots. The first one to fill their bank summons a "Prime Evil", the first team to kill the Prime Evil wins the round.

In its first week, Breakthrough will have its own dedicated Crucible playlist. PlayStation 4 players have exclusive access to the Gambler's Ruin map as well. However, on October 2, it'll become part of the general Competitive Crucible playlist.

For those who have yet to play since Iron Banner went live, Convergence will also be available as a Breakthrough map.

For all Destiny 2 players, including those who own Forsaken, there's a Crucible double Valor weekend happening until the next weekly reset.
