This year, many consumers ordered online so that they got their devices delivered on launch day.

Apple's hyped up new iPhones hold a lot of allure.

And Apple fans similarly headed to London's Apple Store by 7am ahead of today's new iPhone launch. Last year, 293 people waited in line for the iPhone 8.

The same phenomenon took place in Singapore when numerous people flocked in front of an Apple store waiting for the release of the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. Furthermore, the same device was dropped time and again meaning by the third test, each phone had already been dropped twice and potentially weakened. The iPhone XS retails for Rs 99,900 (64GB), Rs 1,14,900 (256GB) and Rs 1,34,900 (512GB), while the iPhone XS Max retails for Rs 1,09,900 (64GB), Rs 1,24,900 (256GB) and Rs 1,44,900 (512GB). The video also discusses something new to the iPhone: dual-SIM capabilities. "The feature allows me to have a local SIM card installed when I work overseas, without taking out my Chinese SIM card". Moreover, person willing to purchase two phones was given a wristband which allowed him to leave the long queue and return within 30 minutes to retain his position.

While the asymmetry of the speaker and mic grilles on the bottom of XS and XS Max might look a little jarring, by deleting two holes on left, Apple made room for an extra antenna band, which according to test results from SpeedSmart, Tom's Guide, and others, resulted in a serious improvement in LTE data speeds. The iPhone X lasted about 9.5 hours in our own WiFi battery test, coming in well behind most other flagships a year ago. "When you're used to the bigger size it's hard to go back to a smaller one".

Finally, the YouTubers carry-out a 10-foot drop, which, in the name of science, is meant to simulate what would happen if you were to drop your iPhone X or XS from 10-feet in the air.

That makes teardowns the only way of establishing the breakdown of parts in the phones, although analysts also recommend caution in drawing conclusions because Apple sometimes uses more than one supplier for a part. New orders of numerous new watch models won't arrive until the end of October in the US, while orders from China are seeing a three to four week wait time. But none of the enhancements are significant unless a user upgrading a much older iPhone.

The teardown experts at iFixit have disassembled the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max in a new side-by-side comparison.

iPhones may be losing their allure in China due to hefty prices and a protracted trade row between China and the US.

Grab one now and make sure nothing happens to your shiny new iPhone!
