After the various beta builds, OnePlus is finally rolling out stable Android-9.0 based OxygenOS 9.0 update for OnePlus 6.

In a blog post, OnePlus specified this over-the-air update will be a staged rollout and that, initially, only a limited number of users will get it. The information in the release didn't mention which countries would be receiving the OTA update first, but considering that the presser came out of Germany, OnePlus could be pushing out plates of Pie on a regional basis. Earlier this month, OnePlus had announced Android 9.0 Pie update for OxygenOS Open Beta members. OnePlus also confirmed the update will include features such as Adaptive Battery technology, which learns how you use your phone, so apps and services you rarely use aren't a battery drain and you can focus on the apps you care about.

Do Not Disturb now supports adjustable settings. The stable Android 9.0 update comes in the form of OxygenOS 9.0, and brings new features like a refreshed Do Not Disturb mode, gaming mode, and accent colour customisations. The company shared a complete changelog, which is also shown while users are downloading the update. Moreover, many companies promise quick software rollouts, but OnePlus is really pushing the boundaries here to expedite the release timeline and offer support to oldest possible phones.

If you have a OnePlus 6 your best bet is to manually check for the update by hitting Settings System Updates Check for updates. OnePlus has stated that Android Pie will soon be rolled out to the OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 3, and OnePlus 3T. Going by the strategy of the company, its seems that OnePlus will most likely discontinue the OnePlus 6 soon after the launch of the upcoming OnePlus 6T.
