This will help you get better audio quality and what Amazon described as room-filling sound from your Echo speakers.

One of the more impressive demonstrations during the presentation was Alexa's ability to know the context in which a person was asking it something. Neither device has mics to listen to Alexa commands and depend upon the Alexa app on your phone or other Echo devices on the network. And given than Alexa devices are all about connecting with each other, you can pair the 6-inch subwoofer with other Echo speakers for "dynamic" stereo sound.

The flurry of new products shows how the world's largest online retailer is working to make ubiquitous its voice-controlled assistant Alexa, which powers the Echo devices. Lifehacker often has affiliate partnerships, so we may get a share of the revenue from your purchase. With this new sensor, you can set temperature-based routines on your smart home appliances.

We've seen a lot of HomeKit-powered wall outlets, but they're about to get some serious competition from Alex. Here's everything Amazon announced today.

The company Thursday also released updated versions of the Echo Plus and Echo Dot.

According to a statement Amazon provided to The Verge, Getty Images has already started servicing images for a limited number of searches.

The smart plug wasn't mentioned in the previous leak about Amazon's plans for new Alexa-powered devices. It features a bigger 10-inch display and includes vastly improved sound and a fabric-covered back. Still no word from Amazon if it can access YouTube videos natively.

Essentially, Amazon has been able to class up its entry-level device for better listening and a better aesthetic without altering the price.

Pre-orders go live today for $229. The company has introduced Amazon Echo Dot, Echo Plus and Echo Sub smart speakers in the country. It can also connect with any nearby Alexa-compatible speaker or an Echo product itself to play music.

Available via invitation for $24.99. Dubbed Echo Input, the adapter comes with microphones on-board but lacks any speaker output.

To incentivize the launch of the sub, Amazon India is offering a 25% discount when you pick up two Echo or Echo Plus speakers along with the Echo Sub. It connects via Bluetooth and costs $50.

Echo Input will be coming later this year and will be available in Black and White for £34.99.

Next up is the Echo Plus, the big Amazon Echo speaker. Echo Link, which is also awaiting FCC approval, allows you to stream hi-fi audio via your existing setup.

The Echo Link ($199.99) and Echo Link Amp ($299.99) are geared towards audiophiles.

The smart plug seems a bit of an unnecessary addition to the range, given the Echo's compatibility with tonnes of existing identical products, made wider still by the Echo Plus with its Zigbee credentials.

Finally, a microwave that can communicate wirelessly to my Amazon Echo! This microwave is through AmazonBasics, meaning it's not supposed to be an overly fancy piece of hardware. Sadly, it has no mics, so it won't be a standalone Alexa experience.

One of the newest Echo companion devices is the new Wall Clock that makes it easy to set times, alarms and reminders. Oh, and when it Daylight Saving's Time comes around, it will automatically adjust itself.

Ring cameras can also be connected to Echo devices with screens, letting people see who has come calling, demonstrations showed.
