Samsung has promised to reveal more at a Galaxy Event on October 11th, 2018 at 5PM in Malaysia (5AM ET). It's coming to select European and Asian markets this fall; the price has not been announced.

The Galaxy A7 boasts a triple-lens setup that features a 24MP primary camera with a F/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel shooter with a 120-degree ultra-wide field of view, and a 5MP "depth" module used for bokeh effects. If you care about phone photography (and care equally about having money in your pocket) the Samsung Galaxy A7 could be the phone to get. Specifically, they are the 5 megapixel and the main lens (the 24 megapixels), which also pulls pixel binning and combines four pixels in one to achieve a better result in low light. The triple camera setup on the Galaxy A7 has been equipped with Scene Optimizer, which categorises the subject and adjusts the colour, contrast and brightness to optimise image quality. The camera offers all the standard features offered by Samsung such as Selfie Focus, Pro Lighting Mode, AR Emoji, filters and others.

Also, this is Samsung's first device in the smartphone market which comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. For audio playback, it has quad speakers that are tuned by AKG and it also comes with Dolby Atoms enhancement for a more immersive audio experience. The phone uses an octa-core 2.2GHz CPU paired on an unnamed chipset and comes in three different memory configurations - 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB or 6GB/128GB. The Galaxy A7 houses a 3,300mAh battery and runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The dimensions of the phone are 159.8 x 76.8 x 7.5 mm and it weighs around 168 grams.

The connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy Watch include Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC, A-GPS/ GLONASS.

Sammobile recently reported that Samsung mobile CEO DJ Koh told Chinese media there will be "very significant" changes to the design of the Galaxy S10. "That's why we're excited to introduce innovative new features to the A series with the Galaxy A7, a practical but powerful device that is built to help make your everyday both convenient and extraordinary".
