Syracuse Police are on the scene of a shooting incident where at least six people have suffered from gunshot wounds.

A homeowner at a home on Midland Avenue said about 20 to 30 people were in her driveway when three "boys", who she claims were dressed in black hooded sweatshirts, were seen across the street and opened fire.

"She also says shootings are a familiar sight in this neighbourhood".

Less than an hour later, a 14-year-old girl was shot a few blocks away on Furman Street, but it was not immediately clear whether it was related to the shooting on Midland Avenue. None of the injuries sustained are said to be life-threatening. Police investigation remains ongoing.
