Better late than never? PUBG rated for PlayStation 4

As of right now, the game is only available on Xbox One and PC but it looks like that's about to change because a rating for a PlayStation 4 version has appeared on the Korean Ratings Board. The game has been a console exclusive on Xbox One since it launched past year, whilst PlayStation has had the incredibly popular H1Z1. A report from Bloomberg even indicated Microsoft was interested in extending the exclusivity further - though to what, we don't know, as the exact length of the exclusive period was never publicly revealed. At PUBG Corp., Greene is working with a veteran team of developers to make PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds into the world's premiere battle royale experience.

PUBG still remains extremely popular though, especially as, unlike Fortnite and H1Z1 (which is already on PlayStation 4), it's not free-to-play.

As for when PUBG could be announced for PS4, there are multiple opportunities in the coming months. It followed through with the demands of players and began a "Fix PUBG" campaign last month.

In the meantime, it will be interesting to see if there's any substance to this, and if PUBG really is coming to the PlayStation 4. While it's true you can't have cross-platform play between the PS4 and the other major consoles, the sheer prevalence of Fortnite gives it an edge by visibility alone.

Thanks to a translation from Twitter user 'Nibellion', we've got our first look at a possible PlayStation 4 announcement coming soon.
