After months and months of wait, Marvel fans can finally rejoice as the Captain Marvel's first trailer is out. There is a good reason for it though.

Brie Larson makes her debut as Carol Danvers, alternatively known as the lead character in superhero movie "Captain Marvel" which is set in the 1980s and features a younger version of Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury. In quick bursts, audiences get glimpses of Jude Law and others, plus the Kree "Accuser" Ronan, who was the main villain in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy. When the Kree and Skrull's war comes to Earth, numerous Skrulls try to take over the world by disguising themselves as humans.

The Skrulls and the Kree - the alien race that Carol becomes a part of after a device it created inadvertently gives her powers - have always been enemies so it's likely, she saw through this Skrull's old lady disguise and dealt with the Deviant accordingly.

As one of the most powerful superheroes on Marvel Comics' roster, she is being positioned for a crucial role in Avengers cinematic history. One of those powers is a limited precognitive sixth sense. Saldana's Guardians of the Galaxy co-star, Pom Klementieff wrote that the trailer had given her "goosebumps" and that she "can't wait to watch the movie". It's a lot like Spider-Man's spider sense, but instead of simply alerting her to danger, Captain Marvel can see a few seconds into the future when a threat presents itself.
