De la Garza, author and former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, told "America Talks Live" about her daughter's hospitalization, with Lovato's blessing.

"It's still a really hard thing to talk about", De La Garza said during an appearance on Newsmax TV. "I literally start to shake a little bit when I start to remember what happened that day", the 56-year-old shared. "I was actually looking at my phone and all these texts started coming in". "I was in shock, like, what is going on?" I thought, what is going on?

"It's something that, if it has not touched your family's life right now, before this gets any better, it has every chance of doing that", she said. So I was in shock, I didn't know what to say.

"[She] was rambling like she had obviously been through something terrible. The next words that came out of her mouth were words ... that are just so hard to hear as a parent", De La Garza told the TV network. "Dallas and Madison and I jumped out of the auto at the emergency room and ran into the emergency room to be by her side".

"I can honestly say she's doing really well", Dianna De La Garza told Newsmax on Wednesday. "I love you.' And at that point, she said, 'I love you too'". One fan suggested that the unwavering support from her massive following played a part in Lovato's survival during those terrifying days after the overdose. "'Is she OK?' And she stopped for a second, and she said, 'She's conscious but she's not talking.' I knew at that point that we were in trouble". "I was very concerned, and I was trying to be strong for her".

De La Garza, of course, rushed to the emergency room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles with Lovato's sisters.

We're so grateful to hear this! At the time, reports claimed that Lovato was hospitalized for an extended period of time due to "complications". Lovato has been seeking treatment ever since.

"She's happy. She's healthy".

"I also believe those million prayers all going up at once saved her - most people don't survive overdoses. she did", they stated.

Lovato reportedly suffered complications as the result of her overdose and wasn't released to rehab until two weeks after she'd been admitted to the emergency room.

Her heart dropped. Her first instinct, based on the messages she had received, was to check TMZ to see what they were reporting, in case they had published information about her daughter.
