The latest statement came just hours after Cube Entertainment announced that both HyunA, E'Dawn had been ousted from the company.

The agency said on Thursday (Sept 13): "Cube Entertainment has chose to remove HyunA and E'Dawn (from the company)".

"The company has put trust in artists as the top priority in its management work. After much discussion, the judgment was made that it is not possible to recover the faith with the two artists HyunA and E'Dawn, so their removal has been decided".

HyunA and E'Dawn have not yet addressed their removal from the agency.

Korean and worldwide fans expressed generally opposed opinions.

The announcement lit up social media, with fans rallying to support the young couple and lashing out over the decision.

Local fans also voiced their opinion online.

The agency said that trust between artists and the company is of the utmost importance, and after numerous painstaking discussions, it had concluded that trust with HyunA and E'dawn "cannot be restored".

"We're discussing the issue, but it's not confirmed", it read. We plan to do our best to incorporate the artists' views before making the final decision.
