Cincinnati's Andy Dalton tosses four touchdowns as Bengals hold off Ravens

The Bengals found themselves in a slugfest with the Colts, but a late scoop-and-score sealed the deal for the visitors in Indianapolis in a 34-23 final.

Andy Dalton kept the Ravens out of the playoffs past year by throwing a long touchdown pass. He also fumbled with 2:42 to go - Shawn Williams stripped the ball from behind - setting up a field goal by Randy Bullock that closed it out.

So now our question becomes this: Is Marlon Humphrey the answer the Ravens have been looking for to shutdown A.J. Green?

The Ravens offensive line had their hands full against a supremely talented Bengals defensive line, which was led by fearlessly by Geno Atkins. Dalton finished 24 of 42 for 265 yards, throwing four touchdown passes for the fifth time in his career.

The Ravens finally got on the board in the second quarter when Javorius Allen rushed for a 1-yard touchdown. When Justin Tucker drilled a 55-yarder early in the third quarter, it was suddenly 28-17. The Bengals were ready for the package of plays the Ravens had for rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson, which forced Joe Flacco to run an offense without all the bells and whistles - and he struggled as a result.

It may only be Week 2, but one thing is clear: the AFC North is up for grabs. The third time proved to be the charm. Left end Carlos Dunlap hit Flacco's arm as he was throwing long.

But the Bengals offense still couldn't get in sync. He finished the game with five receptions for 69 yards and his three scores.

But once they crossed the 50, disaster struck. It feels like every match-up against the future Hall of Fame wide receiver has featured big-play after big-play with gut-wrenching moments fans can't forget.

On the Ravens side, I'd be comfortable starting Alex Collins. After beating up on the hapless Buffalo Bills, who were quarterbacked by Nathan Peterman in Week 1, the Ravens got a bitter dose of reality against Green and the Bengals.

The Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens will meet at Paul Brown Stadium later this evening.

The Ravens went for two, but Dennard knocked the ball down and it stayed at 28-23. The Bengals offensive line has improved but look for the Ravens to try to take advantage of Bengals right tackle Bobby Hart, who was terrible in the Bengals week one win over the Colts.

Two touchdowns in a full game is a pretty nice night, but Green wanted more. Green was a factor there, too. The Ravens were simply helpless against Green when he was in scoring distance, and his nose for the end zone will be critical for Cincinnati this year.

With one game in the books for every team in the National Football League, the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals find themselves tied at the top of the AFC North. On 11 targets, he completed eight passes for 74 yards with a touchdown and six first downs. Andy Dalton had 243 yards passing with two touchdowns.

"That was a great way to start tonight, to come out hot like we did to set the tone", Dalton said.
