We knew Tyler Hoechlin would be returning as Superman, but now we know who his Lois Lane will be: Warner Bros. and The CW announced today that the role of Lois Lane will be filled by Elizabeth Tulloch of Grimm fame! As for Tulloch's Lois Lane and Hoechlin's Superman - dare we hope for a spinoff someday? While she has been referenced in earlier episodes of Supergirl, the show has remained quiet on whether Lois and Clark are married, engaged, or just dating - although Lois does seem to know Clark's secret identity. See how the massive cast of characters comes together when the special starts Sunday, December 9th with The Flash at 8 p.m. ET/PT, followed by Arrow on Monday, December 10th at 8 p.m. and concluding on Tuesday, December 11th at 8 p.m. ET/PT with Supergirl.

Superman Joins the Arrowverse Crossover! Dana Delany also voiced Lois in Superman: The Animated Series. Lois has been there with Superman since his first appearance in Action Comics #1 in 1938, and I can't wait to see what Ms. Tulloch brings to the role. In more recent years, Erica Durance played TV's longest-running Lois from 2004 to 2011 on Smallville; now, Erica appears on Supergirl as Kara Danvers' Kryptonian mother, Alura. "This dogged, determined and fearless reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and wonderful addition to our universe of DC characters".

"We couldn't be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse", Supergirl showrunners Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner previously said of debuting the beloved character in the crossover. And you don't introduce Lois Lane, the first lady of the DC Universe, unless you plan on giving her plenty to do.
