Tesla to Restock Its Wireless Smartphone Charger at a Discounted Price

When it was initially listed, the Tesla wireless charger was listed for $65. And Tesla didn't say at the time when, or even if, it would make a comeback.

The chargers originally sold for $65, but Tesla just announced that the new batch is getting a price drop to $49 - and everyone who purchased one for $65 will be reimbursed for the price difference. Which is a great deal pondering the connected Mophie price dawdle powerstation wi-fi charges $30 more.

The Tesla wireless charger comes with a 6000mAh battery and its capable of wirelessly charging compatible devices at 5W. This is slower than other wireless chargers out there in the market, with the 6,000mAh battery capacity also being on the lower side. If you wanted to use a cord, however, the wireless charger also has ports for USB-C and USB-A charging.

"On account of solid customer ask, we'll be reintroducing the offered-out Tesla Wi-fi Charger", acknowledged the Palo Alto automaker in an electronic mail to possibilities.

Presumably the most up-tp-date Apple and Samsung gadgets enhance snappily wi-fi charging, up to 7.5-watt and 9-watt, respectively, while the Tesla charger is miniature to proper 5-watts.

In an email to customers who purchased a charger from the first batch, the electric auto company announced that the charger's price will be reduced from $65 to $49, and everyone who initially purchased one for full price will get an automatic refund, The Verge reports.

Without much of a heads up, the increasingly controversial electric vehicle maker released an aptly named Tesla Wireless Charger a couple of weeks back, but before many Elon Musk fans could react, the product had already vanished from the company's official website.
