While the Blue Jays have become sellers in the ultra-competitive American League East, Morales has given the Toronto faithful something to cheer about. It's the seventh consecutive game in which he has homered, setting a new Blue Jays franchise record, surpassing the previous record of six held by Jose Cruz, Jr.

Simply put, Morales has been an absolute nightmare for pitchers.

Morales has connected eight times in his streak, the longest in the majors this season.

Estrada (7-10) surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and walked four over parts of just three innings as the Toronto Blue Jays fell 8-3 to the Philadelphia Phillies.

The home run, Morales' 20th of the season, marks the fourth straight campaign that the switch-hitter has recorded 20 or more round trippers.

One of his bats will soon be heading to Cooperstown, immortalizing the streak in baseball's Hall of Fame, according to Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.

"There's a lot of emotions", Morales said, speaking through an interpreter.

"I'm really happy they want my bat".

The 35-year-old Morales, who's nearing the end his second season in Toronto, has 21 home runs in 108 games in 2018.

With his 1-for-3 afternoon on Sunday, Morales is now hitting at a.500 clip (17-34) over the past 10 games.

He was roughed up for two runs in the first inning off back-to-back home runs by Rhys Hoskins and Carlos Santana.

"I just wasn't making pitches, had no command of my fastball or changeup", said Estrada. "But I'm good enough to be out there and I don't plan on missing anything". It was the third time this season the Phillies have hit back-to-back home runs. "I'm going to work through this and maybe get a cortisone shot or something and numb it up and be ready to go for the next one".

Rookie outfielder Billy McKinney had two doubles and a walk for the Jays.

Note: The team tried to bring some clarity to the Josh Donaldson situation, the third baseman who has been laid up since May 29 with a calf injury. In a statement, Donaldson said he wanted all his equipment on hand before starting a rehab assignment.
