José Mourinho: I won’t discuss United’s failings in Brighton defeat

I'm not agreeing with Jose in terms of [being] disrespectful.

Mourinho said "you can not buy class" after City's £10m documentary All Or Nothing - focusing on last season's title win - was released this week.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola throws the ball to his defender Benjamin Mendy against Huddersfield on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola insists Manchester City were not "disrespectful" in their "All or Nothing" documentary series following criticism from Jose Mourinho.

Graeme Souness seldom passes up the opportunity to fire a shot at Manchester United. "We can not buy class", Guardiola told reporters.

But, after City swept aside Huddersfield at Eastlands, Guardiola addressed the claims and insisted his club had not meant to insult their neighbours.

"I was so pleased for Shaw given the stick that has been thrown at him over the summer", Kilbane told Irish radio station Newstalk.

Mourinho was unhappy with the Amazon Prime documentary revealing comments from inside the City dressing room during their title-winning season, which he felt were derogatory towards himself and United.

'Can we play you every week, ' sang the Brighton fans. We did it for ourselves. "We'll keep trying and keep pushing and obviously it's a lesson for us".

"It's his opinion, it's Jose's opinion. Other guys will say, "We like" and other guys will say, "No".

"That is true, you can not buy class".

On the field, there was nothing to trouble the City manager, whose team enjoyed a three-goal performance from 30-year-old striker Sergio Aguero, who has now scored nine Premier League hat-tricks for the club.

Brighton took control in the first half-hour thanks to two goals in the space of 143 seconds, with Murray clipping a delightful finish past David de Gea before Duffy swept home after United failed to clear a corner.

"Three goals a game is okay!" said Guardiola.

Pogba's goal was nothing more than a consolation though as the Seagulls held on to register a second consecutive win over United at the Amex Stadium, while Mourinho now will have some serious thinking to ahead of the game against Tottenham Hotspur next weekend. He came back ideal.

"If I was in your position, I think this game today would give me quite a lot of material to write about".
