Now, in the latest developments captured by German publication WinFuture, the Mate 20 Lite will indeed have similarities with the Nova 3i. The Mate 20 is expected to get a 6.3-inch AMOLED display panel and now we know that there is going to be a notch at the top of the display and is going to be similar to the one present in the P20 Pro but this one will give you access to 3D facial recognition. We still don't have an exact date just yet, but if this release date does materialize, it will be over a month earlier than the Mate 10 Lite's launch, which took place in October 2017 and the device started selling the following month. The previously surfaced firmware files suggested that the Mate 20 will come with a Kirin 980 SoC and include wireless charging support. The display is also big at 6.3in, and despite the fact that the Huawei Mate series a year ago all had the same size display, there is a rumour the Huawei Mate 20 Pro might have a 6.9in screen, but this is unconfirmed.

That's a lot of iPhone X copycat work, and the fast-approaching Huawei Mate 20 Lite appears to include an nearly as wide notch as Apple's Face ID-enabled model. This is the main reason why it is believed that the leak might actually be for the Mate 20 Pro.

This could be the Huawei Mate 20 Pro's front panel.

The signature feature of the spec sheet is the Huawei own-brand HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor, this is the latest powerhouse CPU from the firm and it is based on the 7nm semiconductor architecture. The smartphone is said to have a 3,650mAh battery that sits under the glass back cover. And for good reason: the famous leaker Roland Quandt was able to get their hands on pictures of this phablet as expected in the version with the less powerful but more accessible financially.

The Huawei Mate 20 Lite has leaked online in an image posted by Evan Blass, aka @evleaks on Twitter.
