Apple's iPhone X Plus Could Come with Apple Pencil Support

Everyone agrees that Apple will launch three new devices next month, just like it did a year ago, and that's because multiple reports from solid independent sources all said the same thing. The OLED models, on the other hand, are expected to start from the $899-949 range. The two premium models with AMOLED screen have already been assembled in the OEMs since late July, while the assembly of the LCD models is scheduled at mid-September.

Screens would cover 5.8-inch, 6.1-, and 6.5-inch models.

As well as an upgrade to the current iPhone X, there's also likely to be a larger "iPhone X Plus" and a cheaper "iPhone 9". The 6.1-inch LCD iPhone 9 might add some more colors to the mix.

According to a report from TrendForce, Apple might be gearing up and advancing in terms of functionality with the 2018 iPhone models with an OLED panel.

Seeing the devices in the video (embedded above), the first thing that stands out is that all three of them have the infamous notch, which debuted with last year's iPhone X. This essentially means that the entire 2018 line-up of iPhones will forgo Touch ID in favor of Face ID. TrendForce did not say if this feature will be part of all the models or just the OLED releases. With that said, Apple is also expected to offer a 512GB option. Half of those sales are expected to come from the mass appeal LCD iPhone alone. For months, it's been rumored that an iPhone SE 2 will be part of the releases for 2018. The two developments indicate that Apple has been able to squeeze suppliers to lower prices. The affordable device quickly became a popular option among buyers since it did bring all the hardware from the iPhone 6s.

The S Pen on the Galaxy Note 9 automatically charges when it's put back in its slot.

With the production volume estimated by TrendForce at around 83~88 million units, the new iPhones to be released may take a larger share of the company's annual sales volume compared with the three models past year.

What do you think about the information from TrendForce?

We're inching closer and closer to the final unveiling of the new iPhones which is said to occur sometime early next month.
