Toys for Bob studio head Paul Yan has confirmed in a blog post that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy for PS4 and Xbox One will now be released on November 13.

Toys for Bob is the same studio who recently worked on a different upgraded PlayStation series, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, which just came out previous year.

Spyro: Reignited Trilogy is now scheduled for a global release on both platforms on November 13.

"Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years", co-studio head Paul Yan wrote in the blog.

The release date has now moved from 21st September to 13th November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so it isn't a massive delay, we'll only have to wait for an extra month and a half-ish. In a statement, developer Toys for Bob said the game needed "more love and care", so a delay was necessary. What was your favorite game in this original trilogy?

While it's a bit disappointing to have to wait a little bit longer for the purple dragon, the extra time will ensure that they don't release a broken or unpolished game just to hit a release date. Recent level highlights include the Hurricos level playthrough, embedded above, as well as the Colossus level from Spyro: Ripto's Rage, which IGN previously debuted. It was recently revealed that the second and third games would not be fully included on the physical disc, and will require a download to play.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is an awesome gaming experience that builds on the excellence of the first three games.

Stay tuned to IGN for more on the Spyro Reignited Trilogy ahead of its launch.
