The Romanoffs premieres its eight-episode season on October 12, exclusively on Amazon Prime.

Matthew Weiner's The Romanoffs is easily our most anticipated new series on Amazon, but if you were expecting another drama in the vein of Mad Men, the first trailer for Weiner's latest TV project might throw you for a loop.

The Romanoffs was shot in various exotic locations around the world that include Europe, the Americas, and the Far East; all the while using local production and creative talent. Each story takes place in a new location with a new cast. Both episodes will premiere on Friday, Oct. 12, with subsequent hours made available for streaming weekly.

Cara Buono (Faye) and Jay R. Ferguson (Stan) will be joined by a frankly jaw-dropping list of brilliants performers including Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight), Diane Lane (Unfaithful), Isabelle Huppert (Elle), Amanda Peet (Identity), Jack Huston (Ben-Hur), Kathryn Hahn (Step Brothers), Noah Wyle (E.R.), Paul Reiser (Aliens), Andrew Rannells (Girls) and more.

The series has been in the works for nearly two years with Amazon beating out other networks and streaming services for the rights to the show and handing Weiner a reported budget of $70 million.

Amazon has released a new teaser trailer for their upcoming series The Romanoffs highlighting all of the series' characters saying that they are part of the Romanoff family. Semi Chellas serves as executive producer and writer with Kriss Turner Towner, Blake McCormick and Kathy Ciric on board as co-executive producers. Andre Jacquemetton and Maria Jacquemetton are consulting producers/writers.
