It's unclear if Fowler will be joining them throughout the process of the game, but head coach Doug Marrone did say he was happy to see the fourth-year veteran back. As such, they'll miss Jacksonville's preseason Week 2 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday. The teams play Saturday. General manager Dave Caldwell could be seen leading Ngakoue away by the wrist. Fowler, who will sit out the first regular season game of the year to serve a one-game suspension mandated by the National Football League, has been dealing with an injury since the end of last season. Teammates rushed to break it up.

Fowler was arrested last year after confronting a 55-year-old man who made a comment about his driving. St. Petersburg police said Fowler exchanged words with the man before hitting him and knocking off his glasses.

Fowler eventually pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of battery, criminal mischief and petty theft.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported a few hours after Ramsey sent the tweet that the cornerback had been suspended a week by the team. He also has a long list of traffic violations.

Fowler didn't participate in offseason training activities, minicamp or the Jags' first 11 training camp sessions due to a shoulder injury he sustained at some point during the offseason.

Fowler was the team's top draft pick in 2015 out of Florida but never saw the field his rookie season. the third pick in the NFL Draft that season torn his ACL in rookie minicamp and had surgery to fix his knee. He has 12 sacks in the last two seasons, plus two more in the AFC championship game at New England.

Ngakoue, a third-round pick in 2016, beat out Fowler for the starting job as a rookie.

Ramsey is another key piece.
